Description
The Field Notes Underland is a collaboration with write Robert McFarlane and artist Stanley Donwood celebrating the book by the same name and the painting (called “Nether”) that adorns its cover (and the memo books!)
The book explores the subterranean world including a nuclear waste facility in Finland, ancient burial tombs under Somerset, England, the Paris catacombs, and a laboratory buried deep under the UK where scientists study sub-atomic particles and the origins of the universe.
Stanley Donwood is best known for creating the artwork and album covers for Radiohead since 1994.
The bright white 60# interior pages are ruled in bright Sunshine Yellow.
The memo books are bound with three staples and the belly band is bright red.
