Platinum #3776 Century Fountain Pen – Black Diamond

The premiere fountain pen of Platinum’s line is the #3776 Century, numbered after the height in meters of Mt. Fuji. The Century series features Platinum’s renowned 14k gold nibs and the Slip and Seal cap mechanism to keep your ink from drying out while the pen is capped.
 
Available in several colors, two trims and a multitude of nib sizes, the #3776 Century is a pen that is often measured against in overall quality and writing experience. Platinum’s standard nibs offer a firm and responsive feel, while the “soft” versions offer a bit of bounce and line variation compared to their standard brethren. The pen is well balanced when posted and with the cap removed altogether.
 
The “Black Diamond” is made of what appears to be an opaque black resin, but is actually translucent when held up to the light. It is outfitted with rhodium trim and a rhodium plated 14kg nib.
