The Platinum Prefounte can best be described as a “mature” Preppy. The body is plastic resin, like the Preppy, but the Prefounte includes a metal clip and minimal graphics for a more sleek, casual look. It also features Platinum’s Slip & Seal mechanism for keeping the ink from drying out for up to a year.
 
Produced in 5 subdued (but quite attractive) colors the Prefounte is available in 2 nib sizes, F (.3mm) and M (.5mm).
